Electricity bills will come to you cheaper until month May
The Law on Economic Recovery also provides / foresees the subsidizing electricity consumers.
The part of the electricity they pay for the electricity they receive from energy producers from renewable sources will be subsidized. This is because the government has legally / based on law allocated an amount of up to 16 million euros, which will be given to those producers through KOSTT.
So the means will be poured into this company and from there to the producers. This will last from January to May. This means that the amount that these producers benefit from will be deducted from the consumers.
Based on the calculations, it turns out that consumers will be deducted from their bills the price of 0.0061 cents per kilowatt / hour spent from now until May.
This means that if a consumer has spent 1000 kilowatts / hour during 1 month, the bill will come 6.1 euros cheaper.
So, the subsidy is directly related to the producers of renewable energy (RES), consequently the decrease in euros is related to the consumption of electricity.
KESCO experts have done their best (maximum) to make preparations for the implementation of this discount on time and have achieved this with complete success. Now everything is ready and this discount has started to be implemented on bills.
Electricity prices are set by the Energy Regulatory Office. These prices in Kosovo, according to the official statistical agency of the European Union, Eurostat, are the cheapest in Europe
